From Club Kid, to Youth Development Professional!

Meet Shenali, an intelligent, charismatic and determined young woman, who understands and exemplifies the mission of the Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club (MPBGC), to inspire & enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible & caring citizens.

Shenali has been a member of MPBGC since she was in the 1st grade and it has been an absolute joy to witness her growth from a child, to pre-teen, and now a commendable young woman demonstrating leadership, honesty, respect and integrity, committed to academic success and personal achievement.

When Shenali approached the Club about possibly coming on board as a staff member, it was a unanimous decision that she would make an excellent addition to our team. She shows an extreme passion for helping others and it is very natural for her to take a deep interest in children and their emotional, as well as their educational well-being.

When asked, what do you hope to bring to our members at the Club, Shenali responded with, “I want to be a positive role model, someone that they can look up to, and encourage each and every one of them to work hard and to believe in themselves. I want to make a positive impact in their lives, just as the staff at the Club did for me.” We are honored to have Shenali on board and we cannot wait to see all of the wonderful things she will accomplish here!
